Bid-tastic start to 2016 for AM Bid Services!
Having started trading in October 2014, I am delighted to report that AM Bid Services Ltd is on a strong growth trajectory. In addition to excellent first year results, we are also continuing to invest in business development, networking and social media. Our team of experienced Bidding Associates is growing with new associates joining from Leeds and County Antrim. This further increases our capacity for taking on work.
Now in the 2nd quarter of Year 2, we have taken the step of recruiting Cameron Houston as a Bid Development Executive. Cameron is a recent graduate of the University of Aberdeen with an MA (Hons) in English & Politics and a Masters in Literature (Creative Writing) awarded at Distinction. Just a month into the job, Cameron is already impressing those he meets. For example the Managing Director of a plumbing and heating business sent me a text after he had met with Cameron: “For the record, Cameron is 1st class”. Further recruitment is planned within the next 1-3 months in line with business growth.
The approach to bidding taken by AM Bid Services is being appreciated by a wide range of businesses from local SMEs to FTSE-100 companies. In the past 2 weeks, I have attended meetings with our customers in 4 of the UK’s largest companies in the construction, water and infrastructure sectors. We are securing significant repeat business which fits with our preference of developing long-term working relationships with our customers. Importantly, our customers report significant improvement in bid success rates due to utilising our services.
Our customers are in a large number of sectors demonstrating that our bid specialisms can be applied in any sector. For example, we recently managed and wrote a bid to an English Premier League football club which my team really enjoyed working on. Other enquiries received this month have come from a diverse customer group – recruitment; marketing; grounds maintenance; environmental; new build housing; and the care sector.
Currently the services in most demand are: Bid Writing; Bid Review, Edit & Improve; Bid Strategy & Process Advice; Bid Library Creation and Bid Training. We are also assisting some customers with designing interview processes and tests to ensure they recruit high calibre bid staff who will be the right fit with their organisation. Other customers who do not have the requirement for full-time bid staff prefer to utilise our services as the need arises.
